Museum
Innovation
The Hispanic Society Museum & Library advertising project includes various promotional materials, including poster designs, website banners, mobile ads, and more.
The Hispanic Society Museum and Library is an acclaimed institution widely known for its extensive collection of Spanish, Portuguese, Latin American, and Filipino artwork. The museum is an all-inclusive institution open to visitors of all ages and genders and welcomes everyone, especially the Hispanic and Latino community. Based on the research, the unique selling proposition was to promote the Hispanic culture and encourage people to understand it.
When brainstorming and sketching ideas, the primary strategy was to advertise the museum in Spanish and English, reaching out to a bilingual demographic and increasing exposure to more people. The portrait paintings have a more personal touch and could appeal to those who recognize a cultural connection or similar aspect of their ethnicity. The bright colors evoke unity with the painting and represent the diverse color palette within the Hispanic culture. The paper's effect on the portrait reflects the activities the museum offers, such as a collage workshop. The border and the circle in the middle are directly from the Hispanic Society Museum and Library, in which the H's crossbar is a dot; this design was done to create a sense of unity with the museum's brand identity and the advertisement.
